Creditors' Rights Attorney
An established law firm is seeking and experienced Creditors' Rights Attorney to join its practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking and finance law, along with experience representing creditors in bankruptcy matters. A portable book of business is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to financial institutions, creditors, and other clients in banking, finance, and creditors' rights matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security agreements, and other financial and lending documents
- Represent clients in bankruptcy court and other related legal proceedings
- Handle creditors' rights and bankruptcy matters from the creditor perspective
- Conduct legal research and stay current on relevant banking, finance, bankruptcy, and regulatory developments
Qualifications:
- Active license to practice law in Indiana
- 4+ years of experience in banking, finance, creditors' rights, and/or bankruptcy law
- Strong knowledge of relevant banking, finance, and bankruptcy law and procedures
