Role Description The Dermatology Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology in an on-site, full-time role based in Vero Beach, FL. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing focused skin exams, evaluating and diagnosing dermatologic conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans, and conducting follow-up visits. The role will assist with office-based dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and cosmetic treatments under physician supervision. The Physician Assistant will educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, skincare regimens, and preventive measures, while documenting visits accurately in the electronic medical record. Collaboration with dermatologists, nursing staff, and front office personnel is essential to ensure efficient clinic flow, high-quality care, and an outstanding patient experience.

Qualifications

\n
• Current Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Florida, with NCCPA certification and eligibility to practice in dermatology.
\n
• Clinical skills in medical dermatology, including skin exams, diagnosis and management of common and complex skin conditions, and performance of in-office procedures.
\n
• Interest or experience in cosmetic dermatology, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and assisting with aesthetic procedures.
\n
• Strong patient communication and education skills, with the ability to build rapport, explain treatment plans clearly, and provide compassionate care.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic medical records, documentation, and time management in a busy outpatient setting.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced clinical environment.
\n
• Prior dermatology experience is preferred; new graduates with strong interest in dermatology and willingness to learn will be considered.
\n
• Prior surgical experience is preferred.
\n
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; current BLS certification and commitment to ongoing continuing education.
