About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in Rancho Mirage, California . This position is responsible for performing high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced breast imaging center. The ideal candidate is committed to imaging excellence, patient education, and accurate clinical documentation.
ResponsibilitiesPerform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols.
Educate patients on imaging procedures, obtain relevant medical history, and ensure a comfortable patient experience.
Perform bone density (DEXA) examinations as assigned.
Document procedures accurately using EHR and PACS while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Maintain mammography equipment, imaging rooms, and quality standards in accordance with MQSA and facility guidelines.
Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Active ARRT (R) certification required.
Active California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License with Radiography and Mammography certification required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
Strong knowledge of mammography procedures, patient care, documentation, and imaging quality standards.
Diagnostic or screening mammography experience preferred.
