Job Description

Our client, a highly successful and rapidly expanding retail technology and e-commerce corporation, is seeking an experienced, floor-first Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations at their South San Francisco fulfillment center. Positioned strategically between senior executive leadership and front-line supervisors, the Warehouse Manager will assume full operational accountability for a fast-scaling facility.

The ideal candidate is a high-accountability leader who possesses a rare blend of analytical acumen and hands-on grit. This individual will be tasked with standardizing workflows, scaling facility throughput, and developing an internal leadership bench, all while maintaining strict quality controls. This role requires a constant physical presence on the fulfillment floor to foster a culture of discipline, operational urgency, and continuous improvement. Position Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience within a high-volume warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment center environment.

  • Scale: Proven track record of directly or indirectly managing personnel footprints ranging from 50 to 150 hourly employees, including the management of subordinate supervisors.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced competency utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), enterprise operations tooling, and productivity suites (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace).

  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to interpret raw operational data to build basic cost models, develop labor planning, and drive data-backed forecasting decisions.

  • Floor Leadership: Must possess a consistent floor presence, with the physical stamina and preference to spend the vast majority of the workday actively managing on the warehouse floor rather than at a desk.

  • Adaptability: Proven resilience in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments where resource constraints require creative problem-solving and rapid prioritization.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; must be adept at delivering transparent, actionable feedback across diverse team demographics.

  • Work Authorization: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
